Wednesday 19th June 2013
The second BrisBIM Gathering was another great success with over 110 professionals from the Built Environment attending. It was held in a great space at QUT, Gardens Point (check out the photos!). There were some stimulating presentations and a discussion on the National BIM Initiative from buildingSMART. We had some great feedback on the presentations, but remember it’s up to the community to help shape these events, so please leave you comments below!
The speakers were kind enough to provide PDFs of their presentations which we have made available for download below:
BIM: Why it should be mandatory for all PPP Projects
Andy Bradley (Arup)
Fast track BIM – Case study
Michael Carlotto (Arkhefield)
The Evolution of the Federated Model – From Design to Construction
Brett Taylor (Bornhorst & Ward) and Phil Shanks (Jackson Roxborough Pty Ltd)
RTC Australasia 2013 Roundup
BrisBIM Committee
Thanks to all of the speakers for making it a success!
Thanks to Pacific Computing (Tekla) for sponsoring the evening.
And QUT for providing the venue.
Don’t forget to register for email notifications of upcoming events on our hompage. You can also visit the BrisBIM August event page now to register for the next BrisBIM Gathering on Wednesday the 21st August. We look forward to seeing you there!
We are actively seeking speakers for future events, so please contact one of the committee members if you are interested. Please spread the word about BrisBIM, as our success is dependant on industry participation!
